Who We Are
Why “SCAR”?
In construction, a scar on a high-rise is the final stage of work - a visible detail that completes the building and signals it’s ready to stand on its own. The idea of arriving at the end of a long process, adding the touch that makes it whole, and leaving something that people notice.
We’re a group of young women who came together to start our own practice, united by the belief that the industry can be reshaped with fresh thinking, bold design, and genuine collaboration.
Our Promise
Like that final touch on a building, our work is about creating moments that stand out - we call it design that leaves an impression.
Bella Argyrou
co-founder
Bella is a project designer and soon-to-be architect with a love for all kinds of architecture , from brutalism to postmodernism. She brings a broad design perspective and is always looking for ways to push ideas further than expected. Bella has long dreamed of a firm where architecture goes beyond imagination. SCAR is that vision brought to life. Her approach is to lead industry change, creating spaces that are inviting, community-focused, and that positively shape the way we think, move, and feel. She’s passionate about designing places that contribute to the built environment in ways that are truly unique.
Angelica Romanic
co-founder
Angelica is an interior designer with a natural warmth and an easygoing, creative spark. She loves mixing colour, texture and those little old-school touches that make a space feel lived-in and loved. Her style is all about giving modern architecture a fresh twist, then layering it with subtle nods to the past - creating spaces that feel familiar, yet completely new. The collaborative, inclusive culture at SCAR is something Angelica has shaped from the ground up. She has a natural ability to unlock potential in others, leading teams to achieve outstanding results. Her influence has helped make SCAR a place of constant, positive collaboration, where everyone feels encouraged to share ideas - and no idea ever goes unnoticed.
